Denise Gold, HAS, M. ED
Hearing Aid Specialist, Hearing Instrument Specialist
Denise Gold has enjoyed serving the needs of the hearing impaired for over 30 years. She has a Masters Degree in Audiology and Speech Pathology from California University of Pennsylvania. She is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and now resides in West Palm Beach, Florida. She is licensed by the state of Florida as a Hearing Instrument Specialist and is also Nationally Board Certified by The Institute of Hearing Sciences. Her father owned and operated two hearing aid offices in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and she "grew up" in the field.
Her father's clinics are still open today and are known as Yareck's Better Hearing Center. Denise relocated to South Florida in 2001. She opened her own office on Burns Road in Palm Beach Gardens in 2010. Denise is a member of the Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA). Denise is also a member of the North County Chamber of Commerce.
She is passionate about improving the lives of the hearing impaired. She has invested herself in training new hearing aid specialists and serving on various international mission trips. She volunteers her time at local health fairs and assisted living facilities. One of Denise's areas of expertise is technology. She regularly attends conferences to be trained on the newest hearing devices. She enjoys educating her patients on how technology can improve the quality of their lives. In her free time she enjoys ballroom and salsa dancing, hiking, travel and spending time with her family and two sweet grandchildren.
Stephanie LaForge, M.S. CCC-A
Certified Clinical Audiologist
After earning her bachelor's degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Connecticut, Stephanie LaForge, M.S., CCC-A went on to obtain her Masters in Audiology from the nationally recognized program at Florida State University. She quickly added to these credentials by earning licensure to practice within the state of Florida. Stephanie joined and remains a long-standing member of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA), American Speech-Hearing-Language Association (ASHA), and the Florida Academy of Audiology.
During her twenty-two years of caring for patients' hearing health at her own practice as well as various ENT settings, including Cleveland Clinic in Florida. Stephanie LaForge has unwaveringly spread the word about the absolute connection between hearing health and whole-body health. Knowing the importance of hearing health and overall benefits it imparts to the patient's quality of life, Stephanie is passionate about her work, dedicated to diligent and comprehensive diagnostics, and keeps well apprised of the latest technology and hearing solutions. Stephanie cares deeply for the health of her patients and will always take time to explain and discuss all testing results and the best hearing health options available.
Stephanie was born in the beautiful state of Vermont and raised in the state of Connecticut, enduring cold winters and colorful fall seasons. Outside of the office, she enjoys traveling both domestically and internationally. Her two favorite travel spots are Yosemite National Park and Rome, Italy.
Stephanie spends a lot of time with her husband and college aged children, their two cats and two dogs. Regularly fostering animals from the Humane Society until they are ready for adoption is something that brings great fulfillment to their lives. She also loves to spend time with her extended family in Vermont, craft and sew.
Deborah Brooks, Au. D.
Deborah Brooks, Au.D. has been a practicing audiologist since 2001. She has worked in various settings such as non-profit, ENT office, and private practice. Dr. Deborah earned her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Wisconsin- Madison, Master's Degree from Washington University in St. Louis, and Doctorate from Salus University. Dr. Deborah is originally from New York but has practiced audiology in Georgia and Florida as well. Her areas of expertise include high tech hearing aids, diagnostics, wireless connectivity, assistive listening devices, aural rehabilitation, and tinnitus retraining therapy. Dr. Deborah is affiliated with the American Speech, Hearing, and Language Association and is also a Fellow for the American Academy of Audiology. In her spare time, Dr. Deborah enjoys spending time with her 2 sons, husband, and 2 dogs.
Cayla Hunter
Cayla Hunter- Lyons has worked in the healthcare industry for more than 16 years. Her desire to make a difference in the lives of others landed her in the role as a Patient Care Coordinator. She believes in delivering exceptional patient care and is fully committed to providing excellence to all whom she encounters daily.
Cayla wears many hats outside of patient care. She is a wife and mother of four children. She became a licensed and ordained minister on April 3, 2005. Since then she released her first book in June of 2014. During her free time, she serves as a motivational speaker and philanthropist in her community. She earned a master's degree in Christian Psychology in May 2020.
In the field of people, customer satisfaction is priceless! Cayla's experiences, values and workmanship are a great asset to the My Hearing Center team. Her passion is serving others!
